I'm motivated to become a tech nerd this summer because I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to engage the students in my classroom. Now that I have a classroom set of Chromebooks next year, I'm excited about the endless resources available to both teachers and students.
During Tech Nerd Camp 2.0, I hope to learn many exciting ways to use technology in the classroom. I'm hoping to become a "paperless" classroom next year, where the students won't have to worry about keeping documents and assignments, as they will all be saved electronically.
I would say I'm moderately comfortable with technology, but still have much to learn. I have used Google Classroom, Socrative, PowToon, Prezi, Pear Deck, and Flip Grid. I'm pretty familiar with Socrative, as I have used this as a great formative assessment tool for the last couple of years.
That being said, I know there is so much more out there, and I'm excited to learn.
Until next time...
